About Community United Methodist Church

Community United Methodist Church of Monticello, built in 1857, was well-known for it's lighted steeple that could be seen for miles. Our building on Linn Street was the oldest active protestant church in Minnesota. In June 2000, through the diligent efforts of various church leaders and a faithful following, the congregation took residence in its new building on Monticello's landmark hill.

The members of Community United Methodist Church are the light in its steeple. We are a growing and exciting church. Whether it be singing in the choir, participating on the praise team, or working with children and youth—our programs and ministry opportunities are many for those who seek Jesus Christ.
