Thank you to so many who have donated money, service and prayers to the various mission needs we support.  CUMC has always shown a strong willingness and capability to serve and support others! Ministering to the Poor and Improving Global Health are two of the foundational focus areas for the United Methodist Church globally.

2014 - 2015
The Mission Committee has our own mission for this coming year:  Connecting People To Mission Opportunities.  This effort is not to reach out seeking new ways to serve but is to provide more information, coordination and schedules to connect people to the numerous opportunities we already have in front of us.  We will be using the CUMC website to support this effort and other means to provide details and schedules for these good works.   Watch for more updates soon.
So many of us have passions and skills that are easy to match to the numerous activities and opportunities already available.  As most of you know, serving can also be a win – win effort, giving us a feeling of satisfaction and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.    We should feel good and be pleased by these efforts.  But we are also sometimes nudged or called by God or others to step outside our comfort zone or skill area.   Have we answered that call?  Have we raised our hands?  Sometimes it just isn’t possible for one reason or another.  However, a healthy soul is fed by not only by what pleases us but what challenges us.
Good Works
As we began discussing this effort, we quickly found that there are many ways we serve.  Some formal, structured efforts like the youth and adult mission trips.  Other efforts are driven by individuals who follow their passion, sharing gifts and engaging others along the way.   Finally, we select worthy efforts to support financially or with material gifts.   Below we have summarized some, but certainly not all of these efforts just to highlight the wide range of good work being done or supported by CUMC.
