This has become a traditional well-attended community service. Due to its past and potential large attendance, it is held at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 1001 East Seventh Street in Monticello; however, all pastors of the Monticello community participate in the service creating a traditional COMMUNITY worship service of thanks.
People who have experienced loss of a loved one are invited to participate in this on-going grief support group. We will share our grief journeys and gain understanding of the experiences of grieving. Participation is open to the whole Monticello community. We meet in the classroom off the kitchen on the first and third Monday of each month from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Two facilitators will guide the discussions. If you have experienced a recent loss, we suggest that you wait at least four months before joining the support group.

Life can be difficult, especially at the holidays. Maybe you’re alone, or you’ve suffered a loss that is making it difficult to get through the Christmas season. Death, illness, divorce, loneliness, job change, separation from loved ones...sorrows like these can make the holidays almost unbearable. But you’re not alone, and despite your pain there is comfort to be found.
